Traditionally made by men on vertical looms, this durable cloth is renowned for its cultural significance, signaling status at weddings and ceremonies. Key traditional types includebeige silk/cotton (Sanyan), magenta/red (Alaari), and indigo-striped (Etu) fabrics, often embellished with embroidery.
